I am interested in exploring the realm of psychological mythology. I explore this mythological realm within myself in order to relate the biological body to the urban body, the interior to the exterior. I create characters and sites that are symbolic personifications of the various parts of my own psyche. I engage this concept through the use of personal archetypal images. These images then become a ground from which various identities emerge. Some of the work is autobiographical, whereas other pieces attempt to communicate a mythology that exists outside of a specific biography. In this context the images allude to the universal desire to understand and explain one’s personal reality through the construction of myths.
